Crown Royal is a blended Candian whisky created in 1939 to celebrate King George IV and Queen Elizabath's visit to Canada, currently owned by Diageo. It is the top selling whiskey in the United states.
Crown Royal Special Reserve Whisky was intreduced in 1992, and is aged for a longer period of time than the original. Once it matures, it is blended to produce special reserve. It has more rye and batch based whiskey than other blends, which gives it more spicy, nutty top notes and increases it's creamy smoothness. Its aroma includes honey, sherry, dry and tropical fruits, spearmint, nugget, black tea, coco butter with a bitter sweet chocolate, brown sugar, honey coated pinenuts, melon, sherry and nouget taste.
